Todd Baxter Dawson will be speaking at
Artist and Web Designer Todd Baxter Dawson will discuss the importance of an online presence, and why it's an essential element of your art business. We'll discuss affordable website options, how to effectively use social media, and how your humble email account can be your best marketing tool for promoting your site and your work.
Todd Baxter Dawson has a BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art, and has exhibited in local shows and galleries in Maryland and New Jersey. He has juried exhibitions of local and national arts groups in the DC region, and has served on the board of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association (MAPAPA). He paints figures, portraits and landscapes in oils, and works out of his studio in Germantown, MD.
He also has a background of over thirty years as a graphic designer, and over the last 15 years has designed web sites for a number of artists and art organizations. His art background gives him unique insight into the needs and requirements of an artist's site, and his involvement as a commercial web developer keeps him abreast of the latest trends and best practices in the online community.
